The business lacked competitiveness prior to coming to the workshop. Lack of competitiveness posed a serious challenge for the business and its prospects for growth and development in the business environment. Lack of competitiveness provided competitors with an opportunity to win over more customers from the business. Lack of competitiveness makes it difficult for the business to pursue its goals and objectives. The issue indicates a lack of effective leadership in the business. Therefore, addressing the issue is paramount to business success.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Question 2<\/p>\n
The workshop provided great insights that can help to address the issue of competitiveness in the company. I learned the importance of being proactive, prioritizing, having the end in mind, thinking like a winner, seeking to understand before being understood, synergizing, and sharpening the saw (Covey, 2013). Being proactive is specifically useful in addressing the lack of competitiveness in the business. Proactivity will help to initiate measures that can improve business competitiveness. Revising the mission and goals of the company helped to establish realistic and achievable goals. Thus, the lessons were instrumental in addressing the issue. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

My work had the most measureable impact on the productivity\/cycle time area. The workshop helped to learn some of the most important habits of highly effective people. Some of the habits include synergizing, being proactive, having the end in mind when planning, and prioritizing issues, among others. Through synergizing, I was able to improve teamwork in the company, an aspect that helped to address challenges with ease (Covey, 2013). Bring people from different backgrounds would help to approach issues from different angles and find permanent solutions with ease. The company has registered improved inter-professional collaboration unlike before the workshop. Being proactive also helped to ensure better time management, provide services in time, and to improve customer satisfaction. The company has started to improve its revenues. These are some of the aspects that have promoted the business\u2019 competitiveness. Also, improving productivity was vital to ensuring competitiveness. Hence, the workshop provided vital lessons to improve the competitiveness of the business.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
