Leadership Is Everyone’s Business: A Holistic Approach To Developing And Refining Your Leadership Skills<\/p>\n
Leadership is everyone’s business. A study was shown that our leadership model starts off from a role model when we were younger. Someone we saw week in and week out that had a level of influence over us. For me, that person was my dad. I would watch him go to work, play the piano for church, serve for the decan board, and literally lead my brother and me from place to place. It is my experience and fact from the source text that leadership role models are local (Kouzes et al., 2017). Everyone has the potential to be a role model for someone as we have influence for motivation, career trajectory, and drive. Eyes are always on you to see what you will do. The best information out of the book in my opinion is this. Kouzes and company (2017) say that anyone can be a leader, but you have to put the practice in and lead yourself. How can you motivate others if you can motivate yourself? You can’t push others if you can’t push yourself.<\/p>\n
