Select at least 6 sources from the course to support your argument, including at least one from Colonial America or the Revolution, one from the Nineteenth Century, one from the Twentieth Century, and one from the Twenty-first Century (including ones discussed in Week 3). The other two sources can be from any time period. They can be primary or secondary sources. They can be ones you already discussed in other assignments or they can be other ones. However, they must be in the Canvas shell for this course.\u00a0In addition, you can use the five-part Text provided about which you were quizzed. The Text does not substitute for the primary and secondary sources. Use no other sources.
You must identify each source you use as you use it. Be very clear about which information was provided by which source. Explain everything in your own words. Use proper English, including complete sentences and paragraphs. Explain everything and be very specific in your examples, so that no one has to look up what your sources say to understand you.
3-4 pages, 12 point font, one inch margin all around, double-spaced, proofread. Quotations are optional but, if you do have any, clearly identify them and explain them fully in your own words. Make it very clear which information comes from which source. Use quotations very sparingly. At least 80 percent of the essay must be in your own words, not quotations or paraphrases.
