Based on the current census, Stockbridge reported a total of 29,163 individuals with the inclusion of 11,136 households and 7,431 families living within the city (United States Census Bureau, 2021). The political structure of Stockbridge, Georgia, is precise as it incorporates five council members who hold meetings and make decisions regarding the general welfare of the region. The political structure has given immense power to Stockbridge\u2019s social framework as the citizens are included in making and implementing of important decisions. The political and social outlook has allowed for a supportive economic status, proper regional development, excellent regional hospitality, sufficient public service, and stable amenities that give Stockbridge a considerable growth pattern.<\/p>\n
This paper will focus on the topic of entrepreneurship and business development services, and underrepresentation. The topic will incorporate a specific outlook on the economic angle of the region, Stockbridge, Georgia, as it creates an argument based on the stability that allows for business operationalization in the selected. The basic structure of the paper will be dependent on two main objectives, which are incorporated within the stated topic. First, the paper will seek to identify the entrepreneurial platform that Stockbridge provides to foster business developmental services. Secondly, the paper will address the range of underrepresentation in Stockbridge to create awareness of the essence of entrepreneurial engagement within the region. <\/p>\n
The general economic growth of a region is largely dependent on the entrepreneurial platform that it has created to aid proper business undertakings. Under this perspective, Achtenhagen, Ekberg, and Melander (2017) identify the relevance of entrepreneurship and business development services within a region and describes them as the non-financial products and services that are issued to entrepreneurs within different areas of their corporate needs. The respective services go a further way in aiding the transfer of skills, knowledge, information, and advice that guide proper economic-based decisions. The economic framework of Stockbridge has largely been incorporated into the \u201centrepreneur-friendly\u201d environment that Henry Country possesses, where it is officially represented as a community that is focused on the creation of a conducive ground for small businesses and entrepreneurship. The general stability that Stockbridge registers have been examined under an outlook by Dahmen and Rodriguez (2014), which presents that revenue growth within regions is bolstered through the strategic touchpoints and functionalities that guide entrepreneurial engagement. <\/p>\n
However, one of the main challenges that face entrepreneurship and business development services is underrepresentation. O\u2019Brien, Cooney, and Blenker (2019) state that groups that have been underrepresented in terms of regional economic growth include migrants, ethnic and racial minorities, people with disabilities, women, and those who have lower educational attainment. However, Stockbridge has made notable strides in curbing this challenge through the creation of policies and initiatives that aid the involvement of different groups in the region\u2019s revenue growth framework. A notable example of the Miles & Stockbridge Black Business and Start-Up initiative that supports business development services among the Black population in Stockbridge and the Women BEE Investment Group which seeks to foster business growth among women in Stockbridge, Georgia. By focusing on the topic, the research will reveal the general essence of undertaking business in Stockbridge, Georgia, as a designated region of entrepreneurial engagement and revenue growth. <\/p>\n
