My current thesis statement is that the internet has made massive leaps in transforming our lives. However, we, as a society, are allowing for a greater digital divide, loneliness due to remote work, and greater social isolation. In an autonomous world, we will continue to decline socially and allow technology to take precedence. With the completion of the workshop this week, I have realized that it is confusing on the side I wish to argue. I needed a change but didn\u2019t know where to start. The other students in the class had extremely helpful comments and I was able to rewrite my thesis. My new thesis is that the internet has made massive leaps in transforming our lives. However, it is also among the leading factors to the current mental health crisis due to remote work, social isolation, and a growing digital divide. It is now concerning that the ever-evolving world of technology will ultimately cause our demise as a civilization. I made the change because I appreciate peer review and took all the comments I received into consideration and used them to create a stronger thesis. I also made changes to the thesis because the original focused on the societal aspect of technology while I wanted to focus on the mental health impact. It will satisfy the project\u2019s objective because it now shows a clearer side taken and the information I wish to include. It also focuses on the mental health impacts more than the technological advances themselves.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
