Prepare a 1,200 word paper (a, an, the: not counted), double spaced, exploring and offering considered responses to the topic. Font to be 10-point in ARIAL typeface.<\/p>\n
Paper II Topic \/ Growth by Decking: Hudson Yards and Sunnyside Yard<\/p>\n
How is the urban morphology of New York City being influenced by two projects, one completed and one under<\/p>\n
construction, that have resorted to the decking over of rail yards to create major, but vastly differing, additions to the city? In the course of your paper, include a discussion of a minimum of three similarities and three differences cited by authorities on urban planning\/urban design in comparing and contrasting the two projects. Refer to and cite a minimum of three reference titles which appear in the course Syllabus under Research References. <\/p>\n
Explore and present the topic, in text and with supporting graphics. Graphics are not to exceed \u00bc of any page. Each image is to appear with a caption\/title, 8-point typeface. Show page numbers.<\/p>\n
Total number of pages, including supporting images, to be 6-7 pages, not including the cover\/title page of the paper which should contain title of paper, two images, course name and date, and your n,ame. A final, additional page of CITATIONS (not a numbered page) should be appended to the paper.<\/p>\n

An appointment should be made online with the NJIT WRITING CENTER, located on the ground floor of the CENTRAL KING BUILDING, followed by at least one in-person consultation. This interaction with the Writing Center is required in preparation of your paper. Your consultation at with the Writing Center should be scheduled for a date no later than Friday, 18 November.
