The Covid-19 crisis is having a devastating impact on the film, TV and cinema industry in China. Movie theaters are by nature a high-risk environment, as they often pack hundreds of people into a small space together for extended periods of time. Many new releases have been indefinitely postponed, as production companies would like to see them released in theaters instead of digitally. As a person working in this sector for almost 5 years, I never have faced such difficulty in my working life. Many people in the entertainment and filming industry are now out of work and my future plans are no exception. <\/p>\n
Indeed, I was planning to head overseas to study in 2020. At that time, I was working with Jackie Chan and I told him about my career dilemma. His suggestions shed light on my intentions as he shared his experience as an actor in Hollywood and his rich experience of working with different directors. Because of his words, I became determined about my life direction and how to start it. I even got a recommendation letter from him, yet the pandemic has wreaked havoc on schooling and oversea travel.
