Introduction
This assignment is meant to help you discover some of the aspects of your chosen career that may not be all that evident to people looking in. Any career has things about it that are only seen by people in that industry. By interviewing someone who actually does what you want to do in the near future, you will be able to prepare for the unexpected and may not be surprised, or worse, blindsided, by the unexpected aspects of the job.\u00a0
Instructions
The first task is to find someone to interview. This isn\u2019t as scary as you may think. In fact, you likely have family, friends or acquaintances who have the job you would like. It is really amazing what you can discover when you ask the right questions. Even from someone you live with.
Once you have contacted your subject (see interview guidelines), set up a time to meet. Make sure to make it as easy as possible for your interviewee. Remember they are doing you a favor. Below is a list of question ideas for interview. Feel free to add or change the questions to meet your needs. Don\u2019t forget the purpose is to learn things you don\u2019t already know. To get an idea of an acceptable day in the life interview, revisit the video interviews presented by the course.
Once you’ve completed the interview you’ll need to prepare it for submission. If you recorded it you can look into uploading the video and submitting a link, but you will need permission from your interviewee to do so. Otherwise you can prepare a written summary or slide presentation that will summarize your interview. Whichever method you choose, your submission needs to include the following:
The questions you asked and the corresponding responses.
Your impressions of the interviewee.
What you learned from the interview.
If you are uploading a video, you’ll need to record your responses and add it to your submission.

However, there is a limit to the file size you can upload to the course. If your presentation or video are more than 50 megabytes in size than you should upload them to an external site like YouTube and upload a file with a link for your instructor to view.
