Many left their countryside communities (some voluntarily, some involuntarily) and entered the cities into this unprecedented age of change.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
In this assignment, the year is 1928. You will look through the eyes of an adventurous twenty year-old who is leaving their small hometown of Dayton, Tennessee, and heading to an urban area of your choosing.\u00a0You will explain to your family, in a detailed letter, why you are leaving.\u00a0
