The purpose of this survey is to compare the amounts paid toward consumers’ monthly debts in comparison to their annual household income and the unemployment rate. The cities surveyed are all metropolitan areas which are regions that consist of densely populated urban agglomerations and their surrounding territories sharing industries, commercial areas, transport networks, infrastructures, and housing. Variables in these figures could include family size, the cost of living, and interest rates.

Statistics

Below is the graph displaying yearly income vs monthly debt payments. The higher the yearly income, the higher the monthly debt monthly payment. The lower the yearly income the lower the monthly payment toward debt.

Debt

Min

763

Median

988

Mean

983

Max

1,285

Debt

Min

763

Median

988

Mean

983

Max

1,285

Income

Min

59.4

Median

71.5

Mean

74.05

Max

103.5

Income

Min

59.4

Median

71.5

Mean

74.05

Max

103.5

When analyzing the monthly debt payments and unemployment you will see the numbers are scattered with not much of a pattern.
