An important component to attracting and retaining such employees is the design and implementation of an effective compensation and benefit system.<\/p>\n<p> For your final paper, you are to assume the role of a highly regarded human resource consultant hired to review, analyze, and revise the compensation and benefit system utilized by your city\u2019s largest employer, Holland Enterprises. The firm employs 3,500 employees, but since 2010 has lost 25% of its staff. Exit interviews indicate the primary reason a majority of these employees have resigned is because of a compensation and benefit system that is perceived to be unfair and uncompetitive in the marketplace.<\/p>\n<p> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p> You are to present to management a revised compensation and benefit strategy. Your proposal should include the following:<\/p>\n<p> Describe at least three factors of an effective compensation and benefit system to contribute to organizational effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p> Explain the five principle components of your revised compensation and benefit system for a large-scale organization. Your compensation and benefit system should include the following components:<\/p>\n<p> compensation and benefit philosophy<\/p>\n<p> pay structure architecture (pay grades, pay ranges, and pay width)<\/p>\n<p> ratio of base pay to incentive (bonus) pay<\/p>\n<p> emphases on external equity or internal equity<\/p>\n<p> principle type of benefits to include (examples: deferred compensation match, health insurance, vacation and sick leave, etc.)<\/p>\n<p> Develop a recommendation for each principle component for top management.<\/p>\n<p> Discuss a final summary and conclusion to increase the compensation and benefit expenses to be presented to top management.<\/p>\n<p> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p> The Compensation and Benefits Proposal final paper<\/p>\n<p> Must be 10 to 14 double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to\u00a0APA Style\u00a0Links to an external site.as outlined in the Writing Center\u2019s\u00a0APA Formatting for Microsoft Word\u00a0Links to an external site..<\/p>\n<p> Must include a separate title page with the following:<\/p>\n<p> Title of paper in bold font<\/p>\n<p> Space should appear between the title and the rest of the information on the title page.<\/p>\n<p> Student\u2019s name<\/p>\n<p> Name of institution (The University of Arizona Global Campus)<\/p>\n<p> Course name and number<\/p>\n<p> Instructor\u2019s name<\/p>\n<p> Due date<\/p>\n<p> Must utilize academic voice.
