Hello Professor and Classmates!
My name is Adrianne Lambright and I am a lifelong resident of South Carolina. Currently I reside in a small, rural community called Cross with my six children ages three to 23. As you can imagine, I don’t have much time for hobbies but I do enjoy novels and gardening in my free time.\u00a0 In January of this year I began working for Allstate as a customer service representative and I am soon to be a licensed sales agent.\u00a0
I would describe my OM level as knowledgeable as i know just enough from my Bachelor’s program and working in customer service the last 20 years to hold small talk. However, I’m looking forward to moving to the Practitioner level by the end of this class.\u00a0\u00a0
Two challenges currently in my organization would be the function of non-licensed customer service representatives versus licensed. Due to recent changes in laws, many functions such as adding\/removing vehicles, explaining coverages, etc. can only be performed by reps licensed in a particular state. It can be a challenged to wanna help the customers but unable because of laws. So that means directing them to the appropriate agent.,which can be long hold times. another challenge is claim processing times.\u00a0 Unexpected delays, further investigations, unable to find car rentals, etc. This has especially been a challenge during COVID-19.\u00a0 Premiums can be what differentiates top competitors from laggards. Paying for car insurance can be a burden and consumers are always looking to achieve the most economical price but a company that assist in their time of need, such as during an accident.\u00a0 ironically, the whole claims processing scenario can be what differentiates between companies.\u00a0 I hope by\u00a0 the end of this course to have a better understanding I hope to have a better understanding of planning and managing in the workplace.
