However,\u00a0 for your capstone course, you need to have a thorough understanding of action research in the classroom. Please watch the video below and think of a way that you could use action research in your classes or your workplace right now. Please keep in mind that you can informally do action research WITHOUT AN IRB. Action research is a component of good, reflective teaching. In this discussion board, you will need to:

2) Read the rubric below. Then, create an initial post that addresses the two following prompts. It should be AT LEAST 250 words with the word count in parentheses.
a) Discuss IN DETAIL an action research project that you could do in your class or workplace right now.
b) Although the term ‘action research’ is typically reserved for classrooms, the process can be used to better your life or the life of someone you love.\u00a0 Create an ‘action research’ plan for your own personal life and go into detail about how you would carry our your study (ex: My problem is that I am on my phone or computer constantly from 6:00-9:30 pm instead of ‘being present’ with my family. Using the steps presented in the video, I would research and come up with a way to be ‘more present’).
3) Respond to TWO classmates’ initial posts thoughtfully providing an alternative action research plan to help solve their problem. Be respectful and go into detail about another possible solution. You may NOT repeat a solution that someone has already posted. Each response post should be at least 125 words with the word count listed in parentheses (ex: Instead of telling me to just ‘get off my phone’, a fellow student might come up with the following solution: keep my phone in a different room with an alarm set to only check it at 7:00 and 8:00.
