Culture Shock\u00a0is a term that originated in Anthropology.\u00a0 Researchers found that when they went to a different country to study cultures that things were so very different than what they were used to.\u00a0 This gave them considerable discomfort in having to deal with everyday life.\u00a0\u00a0
Have you ever been to a different country or even a different state and found that things were very different than what you expected?\u00a0 People may use different words or have different behavior patterns or traditions that you have not experienced before.\u00a0 You can even experience culture shock in your own city when attending a new school or moving to a new neighborhood.\u00a0 You might have even experienced culture shock when you first attended Mt. SAC.

\u201cPeer Posts\u201d are responses to another student\u2019s Main Post.
Students must submit two Peer Posts (10 points possible per post.)\u00a0 You may submit extra peer posts, however, you will not receive extra points.
Peer Posts must be original responses of about 75 – 100 words.\u00a0 Do not exceed 100 words.
You must submit a Main Post before you can submit a Peer Post.
Include a word count at the end of your peer responses.\u00a0 Failure to include a word count will result in a 5 point penalty per post.
