On a hot summer
day, have you ever questioned when the relentless heat would end? Or maybe you watched a weather
forecast or received a weather alert that a major storm was approaching and wanted to know how
hurricanes are created. The weather that we experience is dependent on several factors. By studying
temperature changes and the amount of precipitation, you will gain insight into possible factors that
influence the weather.
This lab will help you analyze patterns and changes in the weather for a particular city. In a previous
mathematics or science class, when comparing two variables, you may recall learning how one variable
may change with respect to another. This comparison was usually in the form of an equation, a table, or
a graph. At the conclusion of this lab assignment, you will be able to create graphs, analyze data
through recognition of patterns, and identify factors that influence weather patterns.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Have you ever looked up at the sky and questioned how do clouds get their shape?
