Directions: Write a properly formatted APA essay of at least 5 paragraphs using the guidelines listed below to keep your paper organized. Paragraphs 1 and 5 should have 5-6 sentences each, and paragraphs 2, 3, 4 should each have 4-6 sentences. Be sure to include explanations and examples wherever possible. Also include any needed in-text citations and reference list, APA formatted. (APA format guide is in the Start Here Documents)
Essay Format for the Five Paragraphs: * Please do not exceed 2 pages.
1. Introduce topic in your first paragraph and why you chose it *(this should be a topic from this week\u2019s lecture notes).
2. Select one socialization theory covered this week and explain the theory in paragraph 2.
3. In paragraph 3 give examples of how you have been socialized based on this theory. How were you raised as a child?
4. In paragraph 4 give an alternate way you could have been socialized based on this theory. What could your childhood have been like? Could it have been better? Could it have been worse?
5. Conclusion – sums up the thesis, and key ideas discussed in Paragraphs 2, 3 and 4, and includes a closing statement. <\/p>\n
