Write a 700 word argument essay based on
the topic that you choose from the list above.\u00a0 (The word minimum only

Base your thesis on the pro\/con question in your chosen topic.
For example, the question for the “virtual classrooms” topic is:
Are online classes as beneficial as face-to-face\u00a0instruction in a traditional classroom?\u00a0You would turn the question into a position statement such as:
\u00a0 \u00a0 Online classes are\/are not as beneficial\u00a0as face-to-face instruction in a traditional classroom. (Pick either \u201care\u201d OR \u201care not.\u201d) <\/p>\n
The body paragraphs should include:
two paragraphs stating your reasons for your position and at least one
paragraph rebutting an argument from the other side. The rebuttal should
be first or last. \u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n
The body paragraphs should include at least two quotations from two different articles that you choose from the SIRS database. Requirements are below and on the handout
\u00a0Include a works cited page that includes entries for all of the sources that you use.
You must have a lead-in and a citation
for each quotation. The exception to the citation rule occurs when the
article is only available as a web copy (without page numbers) and the
author is introduced in the lead-in.
The requirements to include two quotes
from different articles in the body paragraphs and to include a works
cited page are minimum requirements.
At least one body paragraph must be a
rebuttal section. All rebuttal sections must include the following: a) a
description of the other side’s argument and b) a response that
explains why the other side’s argument is wrong or weak, or a way that
