You can use your personal observations. If you cannot safely observe your organism, you must research.size, coloring, etc. <\/p>\n<p>Life Cycle and ReproductionLife Cycle: describe the life cycle of your organism.\u00a0 The life cycle refers to the series of changes that happen from the beginning of life as your organism develops and grows into a mature organism.\u00a0 Please see here for some hints on the\u00a0Life Cycle. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! <br \/>Reproduction: You must discuss the reproductive strategies of your organism (e.g. release of gametes by a fish or hermaphroditic reproduction in earthworms), mate choice, mating displays, mate competition, and mating systems. <\/p>\n<p>Structure and FunctionPlease select one organ system of your organism that you find to be particularly interesting and describe\u00a0both the anatomy and physiology\u00a0of that system. <br \/>If your organism is an animal, here is a list of the\u00a0general animal organ systems <\/p>\n<p>Energy EcologyIf you can observe these, that is best. If not, research. <br \/>What are the food sources? Types? Amounts? Temporal pattern of feeding? Specific handling or processing of food items by the organism (e.g. the way a squirrel manipulates an acorn) <\/p>\n<p>HabitatWhere your organism lives. This does not refer to a city or state, but rather the natural environment in which your organism lives. <br \/>You should consider abiotic factors, such as soil, water, etc., as well as biotic factors, such as predators, hosts, etc. <\/p>\n<p>The Conclusion SectionThis section should contain four to six points that sum up the main points from the body of the outline. <br \/>Start your conclusive section with one sentence summarizing some basic information about your chosen organism (name and geographical distribution). <br \/>Continue with a brief summary (1-2 sentences) about the life cycle and any particular body structures. <br \/>Include a brief summary (1-2 sentences) about the ecological role of your chosen organism in its ecosystem. <br \/>Wrap up the conclusive section with a closing note that provides brief information about a unique fact and\/or behavior of your chosen organism. <\/p>\n<p>The Reference SectionThis is not just the reference page; rather, referencing should occur throughout the outline as it will in your presentation.\u00a0 Therefore, your outline should include both a separate reference page containing a minimum of\u00a0five sources\u00a0listed in proper APA reference list\u00a0format\u00a0AND\u00a0internal citations throughout the outline where appropriate.\u00a0\u00a0Please\u00a0be sure\u00a0to\u00a0see the resources below for assistance\u00a0regarding in-text citations and reference list formatting, and\/or\u00a0ask me if you have any additional questions. <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ANIMALS: The Introduction SectionOrganism IntroductionThe common and scientific name of your organism.
