Write a a final essay based on your research topic. Included in your writing on this topic you should utilize the sources listed in your bibliography: one secondary source (an academic book or journal article on the subject) and two primary sources including the oral history you selected in Part I of the research project, and a newspaper account, oral history, official document on the topic. This portion of the assignment should be 3-5 pages double spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font, 1 inch margins. You will need to use Chicago Manual of Style for footnote citation purposes. Your essay MUST have a thesis statement. For help to formulate a thesis please go to the “Modules” page, scroll down to “Syllabus and Course Materials”. You will see a page titled “Writing a Thesis”, which includes two resources on what makes a good thesis.
