Students should use Times New Roman font, 12 points. Websites such as Wikipedia, SparkNotes, BookRags, E-notes, etc. should not be used. Also, book reviews, overviews, and abstracts are prohibited.\u00a0Instead, students should consult the library\u2019s catalog and electronic databases, such as MLA Bibliography, JSTOR(Journal Storage), ProQuest, and Humanities Full-text for\u00a0PDFversions of secondary sources. (Please do not use HTML versions, as they do not provide page numbers.) All annotations should be double-spaced and\u00a0written in complete sentences.\u00a0\uf0b7Annotations: In addition to being 150-200 words in length, each annotation should include a summary (80%) and an assessment\/reflection (20%) (see handout). Note: First-person (I, me, my, mine) and second-person (you, you&#8217;re) should not be used.\u00a0\uf0b7Presentation: Each student will present his\/her bibliography to the class in a five-seven (5-7) minute oral presentation, which will highlight the most significant, useful, and\/or interesting sources. The focus should be placed on various analyses of the selected literary work, not the author\u2019s life.\u00a0\uf0b7Handout: In addition to submitting the bibliography to the instructor, presenters must prepare a one-page original handout(created by the student, in the student\u2019s own words), The student must be prepared to successfully field questions as\u00a0well.
