You are encouraged to download this document and<br \/> keep it on hand as a ready reference. <\/p>\n<p> In addition, download and review the template you will use<br \/> for this assessment: <\/p>\n<p> Assessment 3 Client Meeting and Review Template [DOCX]. <\/p>\n<p> Key Preparatory Tasks for a Successful Meeting <\/p>\n<p> Thorough preparation will ensure that your meeting is<br \/> productive. Take the following steps to prepare for the meeting: <\/p>\n<p> Conduct background research on your prospective client<br \/> organization. Identify a first and second choice for connecting with a<br \/> practicing health care professional in that organization. <\/p>\n<p> Research best practices for professional communication and<br \/> feedback to prepare for the interview. <\/p>\n<p> Reflect upon your experience in human services and health<br \/> care administration relevant to your proposed project. Based on the NCHL<br \/> competencies, is your proposed project realistic? <\/p>\n<p> Prepare a list of questions that you would like to ask the<br \/> practicing health care professional. Refer to the Client Meeting and Project<br \/> Approval Guide [PDF]. <\/p>\n<p> Note: You should arrive at the meeting with proposed<br \/> performance indicators related to the health care issue you have identified.<br \/> However, it is possible that you have chosen the wrong indicators, that the<br \/> indicators are not included in the organization&#8217;s data sets, or that the client<br \/> thinks different indicators might be more helpful. It is your job to verify,<br \/> discover, or redefine your performance indicators so that you can proceed with<br \/> your data review. <\/p>\n<p> \u00a0 <\/p>\n<p> Requirements <\/p>\n<p> You will need to take the following steps to complete this<br \/> assessment. Details and supporting information for completing each step are<br \/> contained in the Client Meeting and Project Approval Guide [PDF]. <\/p>\n<p> \u00a0 <\/p>\n<p> Step 1: Schedule a meeting with the prospective client. <\/p>\n<p> Step 2: Meet with the client and present your project<br \/> proposal (your combined Assessments 1 and 2). You may wish to send your<br \/> proposal to your reviewer prior to the meeting. <\/p>\n<p> Provide evidence-based support for your assertions and<br \/> conclusions. <\/p>\n<p> Be clear about the project scope, execution, and focus. <\/p>\n<p> Be clear about the value of your proposed project and how<br \/> you will measure the outcomes for each of the four areas of the balanced<br \/> scorecard. <\/p>\n<p> Be prepared to answer questions that the client asks. <\/p>\n<p> Step 3: Work with the client to refine your project proposal<br \/> as necessary, including any negotiated changes, using the Assessment 3 Client<br \/> Meeting and Review Template [DOCX]. Summarize the feedback offered by your<br \/> client during the meeting, and provide any substantive, relevant details needed<br \/> for clarification. (You will integrate the client feedback into your final<br \/> project report.) <\/p>\n<p> Step 4: Submit the changes noted in your Assessment 3<br \/> template to the client for their approval and signature.
