What is a summary?
A summary gives an overview of the main points of a text from beginning to end and be written in such a way that a person who has not read the text will be able to understand what it is about. Please note that a summary is not a review. What you think of the text–whether you like it or don’t like it–is irrelevant. Your personal experience and opinion of the text should not be included in your summary.
Passing Grade:
For a passing grade your paper needs to be\u00a0written by you in your own words; it needs to\u00a0focus on the Mediterranean as a system; it needs to contain\u00a0accurately included quotes\u00a0that are immediately followed by\u00a0accurately formatted footnotes; it needs to contain an\u00a0accurately formatted bibliography.\u00a0The paper should be\u00a0no more than 1,000 words excluding the bibliography\u00a0(990\u20131010 words is acceptable).
