In order to communicate your interest and qualifications for a particular position, you will need to draft a compelling cover letter to accompany your resume.<\/p>\n
The beginning of any cover letter should refer to the job posting itself, especially the job description. Leveraging the research you did on the company, tailor your letter to the company and the position. Show the company that you are actually interested in what they do, instead of simply being interested in the job.<\/p>\n
Your cover letter should reflect your personality but don\u2019t forget the aim is to sell yourself as a viable, qualified candidate. Keep the language as professional as possible, paying careful attention to spelling and grammar.<\/p>\n
You can also use the cover letter to highlight key achievements in your career. If you are just starting out and do not have much experience, expand on key achievements outside of work.<\/p>\n
Be sure to convey confidence at the end of the letter, closing with a strong statement such as \u201cI know I can be a valuable asset to your company and I look forward to hearing from you soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
