Your interest can be personal,<br \/> ethical, social, economic, religious, but it should move beyond what<br \/> you\u2019ve studied in other classes and include a connection to public<br \/> policy. <br \/>Your discussion must include the following: <br \/>1) What is the aging policy problem that matters most to you? <br \/>2) Why do you care about this issue? <br \/>3) Why should policy makers care about this issue? <br \/>Some illustrative examples are provided in Chapter 7 of your textbook. <br \/>Additional<br \/> potentially relevant policy problems include i) the epidemic of<br \/> loneliness among older adults, ii) evacuation of older adults during<br \/> wildfires in California and iii) the cost and quality of long-term care<br \/> in the US. <br \/>Please note that this is a personal reflection paper.<br \/> It should reflect you and your voice and be written by you and only you.<br \/> You do not need to offer a solution to this problem; and you do no need<br \/> to provide appropriate citations, however, your paper must be factually<br \/> accurate. For example, if you focus on loneliness and write that the<br \/> vast majority of older adults are lonely, you will lose points as this<br \/> is not a true statement.
