Find their FOIL procedure (Freedom of Information Law).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>What department or employee is responsible for carrying out the request?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Can the form be downloaded on the agency&#8217;s website? If not, what is the procedure?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Can the form be submitted electronically via email, if not, state why not and mention the challenge here- remember this is about transparency in government and there are still agencies that have not provided this important feature to the public which in effect creates barriers to information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Once the form is submitted how is the form sent to the relevant department from which you&#8217;ve requested information- if they&#8217;re not specific about this I want you to call the agency to clarify- how much time is required for the department to fulfill your request? Under what conditions do the time frames need to be extended?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>Is the form specific about providing you with guidance for finding the information you need?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Does the procedure or policy have a fee? How is the fee structured is there a fee per page? For oversized documents?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Scientific management is about process and quality improvements to find that one best way of delivering a product or service. Do you see scientific management playing here? Why\/why not?
