Art Journal Week 2<\/h2>\n

Refer to the assigned reading from the textbook and required videos as examples of how to interpret works of art.<\/p>\n

Explore a museum from the list of museum and digital image resources from Week 1, one of the Virtual Reality video tours assigned this week, or go to your local museum. Select a work of art that particularly interests you. In your analysis, use the terminology you learned this week, taking care to cite the textbook or any other source of information that you use in your journal. Include your personal reaction to the work of art and an image of the work. Include an image of the work of art you have chosen in your journal.<\/p>\n

TIP: To fully contemplate the work of art using what you have learned about art and art appreciation, it is recommended that you examine the work of art for at least ten minutes, taking note of your reactions and observations throughout your examination. Use these notes to compose your journal entry.<\/p>\n

You will construct an art journal using Microsoft Word or PowerPoint. The Ashford Writing Center\u2019s How to Make a PowerPoint Presentation\u00a0(Links to an external site.)<\/span><\/a> can help you to put together an attractive and successful PowerPoint presentation.<\/p>\n

Cite your sources as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center\u00a0(Links to an external site.)<\/span><\/a> guides on Citing Within Your Paper\u00a0(Links to an external site.)<\/span><\/a> and Formatting Your References List\u00a0(Links to an external site.)<\/span><\/a>. For works of art, follow the basic modified APA style reference entry format in the APA Style Reference Entries for Artwork<\/a>\"Preview<\/a><\/span> document.<\/p>\n
