It is without a doubt, companies need to accept the increased competition as it helps the involved company adapt to the innovative approaches. We can see that Blackberry failed due to competition despite having been successful for approximately fourteen years. One of the reasons why Blackberry failed was because of the company’s complacency and conservatism (McGoogan, 2016). Due to technological advancements, we can see that the company was moving to much more giant touchscreens. The company was enjoying its success due to its phone’s peculiar keyboard. It was also this time the android and iPhone had just been introduced (McGoogan, 2016). The company did not put in mind the broad consumer base, and as such, it did not produce phoned that would have enhanced its competitive advantage.Companies need to welcome competition if they want to remain relevant. Whenever companies enter a new market, they always come with specific strategies. Blackberry seemed to be contented with its customer base (Kotler et al. 2019). Android and iPhone came with innovations that Blackberry did not utilize. The company was adamant when it came to embracing the innovation that its competitions had introduced. The company failed because the client preferred the iPhones as they had more features than Blackberry (McGoogan, 2016). Apple seems to have understood what society needed and developed the phones based on those needs. Blackberry should have also tried to understand the needs of the community while expanding the phones. The company should have acknowledged innovation and started considering society needs (Kotler et al. 2019). Given it was an established brand at the time, it would have expanded the client more easily since it still had loyal clients. From the above discussion, we can see that acknowledging competition can help a company adapt to innovation. Apple had realized that if they were to succeed, they had to know what the clients wanted. Apple made products based on consumer needs, and as such, they surpassed Blackberry. If Blackberry had taken an approach as Apple did, they would have remained relevant since it was an established company and had loyal clients. Still, instead, Blackberry decided to take a different route and failed since it did not acknowledge competitors’ innovation. this is the question: Thanks for your insights. It still is mind-blowing how blackberry lost its throne. I wonder if it had to do with them being complacent. At what point should have the organization change its strategy before it was too late and how was marketing accountable for communicating this change in the market?

Regardless of the company status, it needs to welcome.
