If the number is the first word in the sentence, always use the word rather than the figure.\u00a0 Please see the APA manual for other rules regarding use of numbers in the manuscript. \u2022 Citations:\u00a0 In a research paper, you must have citations throughout the manuscript to indicate where the thoughts and ideas were taken.\u00a0 o Each and every citation in the manuscript must be listed on the Reference page.\u00a0 o\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Each and every resource listed on the Reference page must be cited somewhere in the manuscript.\u00a0 \u2022 2 authors: always cite both names\u2022 3-6 authors, cite all authors first time, but only 1 surname followed by et al., and year in subsequent citationso\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Please use the APA manual for specific instructions on the proper format for citations in your manuscript and format for resources listed on the Reference page. \u2022 Reference Page:\u00a0 The Reference page is a separate page at the end of the document, is double-spaced, and contains the manuscript header and sequential page number.\u00a0 o Center the title \u201cReferences\u201d at top of the page and organize the list alphabetically by author\u2019s last name.o\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Use a hanging indent style for the list.o\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Use only the initials for the author\u2019s first name.\u00a0 Ex:\u00a0 Davis, M.J.o\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The name of a Journal appears in uppercase and lowercase letters and is italicized.\u00a0 Do not abbreviate journals:\u00a0 for example use Journal of American Dental Association, not JADAo\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The name of the article is not italicized and only the first word is capitalized.\u00a0 Ex: Davis, M.J.
