The goal of the paper is not to summarize the film, but rather, to provide a critical and personal analysis. This will include discussing some of the main topics that emerged, situating it within broader social\/historical events, and reflecting on how your own lived experiences and social location impacts the way you experienced and interpreted the film.Assignment Notes:The film you select must be at least 25 mins in lengthThe paper should be approximately 750 words in length ( \/- 100 words)You have free access through your MacID to Kanopy, which is an online streaming service with over 4,000 documentary films (https:\/\/library.mcmaster.ca\/databases\/kanopy). The National Film Board of Canada also has a great selection of publicly accessible documentary films (https:\/\/www.nfb.ca\/). You can type in \u2018human rights\u2019 or \u2018social justice\u2019 into either of these catalogues for a selection of potential films. You are also welcomed to select a film from a source\/platform of your choice.No external sources are necessary for this paper; remember it is not a research paper but a reflection paper. If you reference any course readings, they should be cited appropriately using APA style. If you are citing a course lecture, you can simply make reference to the lecture week in your paper (no formal citation necessary).Personal pronouns are acceptable and expected for this assignment (i.e. it is ok to use \u201cI\u201d).In your references at the end of the paper, please list the basic information about the film including: title, year released, Director and\/or Producer, and film length.Any text in your bibliography\/references will not count towards your word count.Reflection Questions\/Prompts: Use the questions\/prompts below to guide your reflection paper. Note that you are required to address the themes in each question\/prompt; however, this should be written as one cohesive paper, not in question-and-answer format. What is this documentary film about? What human rights and\/or social justice topic is it focused on?Discuss one aspect of the film that had a particularly profound impact on you, or something you found especially interesting or insightful.Think back to the reading and lecture content from Week 2 that focused on positionality, reflexivity and critical thinking. Using these concepts, reflect on how your own \u2018lens\u2019 informed your experience watching the film. Specifically:What do your emotions, reactions and thought processes in watching and reflecting on the film reveal about your own lived experiences, worldview, and social position?
