How would you facilitate communications with your potential customers? Why is it important to understand the beliefs and behaviors of a targeted customer?

Geraldine said: When I think of senior care and how to market and sell this type of services, it is important to look at the overall picture. The purchasing behavior of my target customer would be an older range, usually for services focused towards individuals that are 65+ or may have medical conditions that require assistance early on. They would be purchasing my services because for one, the person in need does not have the ability to assist themselves, the family and/or loved one does not have time time, skill or ability to assist as well.

They would make a purchasing decision based off of quality of care, location, type of services available, as well as customer satisfaction. A lot of times in this field, word of mouth is very important and is looked at very closely when making a decision. Finding the right level of services also depends on how much services is needed and whether or not that amount or type of service is provided. “Take the time to get the right people on the bus. Even if it takes longer” (Madden, 2015).

Knowing how to facilitate communication with potential customers is vital. Social media is always relevant. Also, email, phone calls, face to face and most common, virtually through platforms like zoom, duo, etc.

It is important to understand the beliefs and behaviors of a targeted customer because this helps with understanding the need of the customer. When the need is understood, it allows the company to provide customized services that the customer needs and wants, adequately understanding of the situation which in return in a successful process and outcome that could expand the overall product.

Jackson said: My brother and I own a Christian apparel business called GODLYVIBE. We design and sell lifestyle apparel that shares the message of our Lord. Our target audience is man and woman believers of any ages. The customers are buying our products because they believe on our goal. Our goal is to encourage, inspire, motivate, and change the lives of anyone who is exposed to GODLYVIBE. Also, they like the premium style, quality and service that we offer. “Understanding why and how people decide to purchase this or that product or why they are so loyal to one particular brand is the number one task for companies that strive for improving their business model and acquiring more customers” (Sydorenko N., 2021).

Customers are more likely to remember you and your company if you engage with them frequently. Some of the way I can facilitate communications with my potential customers are the following: Make a phone call, engage on social media (I can use social media to post special offers, information about new products or services and general announcements.) Send a newsletter (Newsletters are a great way to let your customers know about any promotions or success stories.)

Understanding customer behavior is critical because it allows marketers to better understand the factors that impact consumers’ purchasing decisions. They can fill in the gap in the market and identify the items that are needed and the ones that are outmoded by studying how customers choose things.

Kenneth said: An understanding of consumer behavior provides important clues that can help you identify market segments most likely to respond to your product or service offerings and marketing communication programs, George Boykin (smallbusiness.chron.com). Individuals makes purchasing decisions based on there everyday needs and wants. For instance, everyone wants the newest and hottest thing out especially technology. The iPhone has always been the hottest and most targeted product from all ages, gender, race and more. I know what helps me decided on my purchasing decisions is finding things that will be both convenient and beneficial for everyday use. Companies and business use all forms of media platforms. To reach out to everyone to spread the word about the new product, its capabilities and more. in hopes to get individuals attention and interested in purchasing the product. You have to be able to relate your customer and there needs in order to connect and get them interested.

Discussion Question #2 What is the least expensive and fastest way to test your product or service with targeted customers? Provide a brief summary of a smoke test plan.

Brandy said: With any new business idea, you have to go into it expecting it not to be a hit at first. 95% of product launches fail—often because a brand pushes them to launch without stopping to find out if the product is something people actually want (N.D). I think conceptually the least expensive way would be to test the product out on family and friends who might not want money for participating in the test. However, if you go this route and the product works for them but has significant flaws for the real customer base, you are going to incur heavy losses as time goes by. The best way to test would be to use a smoke test. A smoke test is defined as the process of running test cases involving the important functionality of a component or system, to ascertain if crucial functions of the software work correctly (Mullin, 2020). This would allow for the most accurate reading on how effective this product will be and is consistently being used throughout the creation of the product. Taking your time and producing the best product will more likely be the least expensive and more effective way of testing a product as it can help improve the product’s long-term sustainability.

Brain said: The quickest and easiest way to test my product would a two-fold approach due to the nature of the emerging technology involved. First, it will involve distributing the successful proof-of-concept test to as many medical journals as possible for peer review and publication. This will include placing marketing advertisements in technology and medical journals as well which can average $500 to $400,000 in the form of print, online articles, or online video services such as YouTube (WebFx, 2021). Secondly, creating a portable prototype capable of functioning in the exact manner as the original and showcasing it at medical technology conventions will be of utmost importance.

This will be integrated into the smoke test to ensure the product produced does indeed meet the specifications of being easy and inexpensive to build, sterilize, operate, and maintain (Albanna et.al., 2019). The test would consist of two cohorts, users and patients, to gather information and create the customer flows or sequences of customer behavior to ensure the best product has been created through surveys of the two cohorts to gather fact-finding information post treatment (StartInno, 2015). Finally, a full analysis of all results will be conducted by product developers to decide if any pivot or adjustments to direction or prototype is necessary and implemented accordingly (StartInno, 2015)

William said: If in the process of marketing a product or testing a product, more than likely it has been created with a driving passion. Whether that passion be centered around an outdoors life, transportation, or stay at home parent, it was thought of and created with a need in mind centered around a passion. After initial testing closed to the public or self testing, the easiest method and cheapest way is to test amongst friends, family, or other individuals that share the same passion (Phillips, S.). After having conducting a self test and knowing the use and identified quarks of a product, enlisting a friend to ensure overall functionality as well as simplicity is not only a way to show that the product works, but costs nothing (unless the product puts them in the hospital).
Initial smoke screening, depending on the product can take place where other like minded individuals gather. If the new product is centered around sporting activities, getting involved with the local minor league sporting venues would be helpful in assissting an area to showcase and potentially sell your new product. If it happens to be specifically targetted at mountain bikers, main popular trails would be ideal to setup at without cost to the company if it’s on public land. This will give the oportunity to see your product being used in real time and getting real time responces without having to wait for responses through an app or website; if individuals take the time to conduct a survey.

Hello, I need assistance with responding to 6 peer’s Discussion Question responses.
