To use Ohm&#8217;s law.<\/p>\n<p> Activity<\/p>\n<p> part 1<\/p>\n<p> Build the connections with one resistor only. Use the 1kOhm resistor. Use 3.3 Volts.<\/p>\n<p> Measure the voltage across the resistor with the multimeter.<\/p>\n<p> Kit voltage value:<\/p>\n<p> Measured value:<\/p>\n<p> % difference:<\/p>\n<p> part 2<\/p>\n<p> a) Connect all resistors in series. Built the connections with 6 resistors (use 1kOhm, 2kOhm, 5.1kOhm combinations). Measure the voltages across each one of them, and across two or three of them.<\/p>\n<p> Since the resistors are all in series, the current drawn from the power source is the same for all of them. <\/p>\n<p> b) On the usual spreadsheet, build a table similar to the table below with the resistance and the voltages. Measure in total at least 9 data points. <\/p>\n<p> c) Use your data to build a chart with Voltages vs. Resistances. <\/p>\n<p> d) Build the line of best fit. What is the slope equal to?
