UTS FASS Dean\u00a0announced\u00a0plans to build a new communication centre at UTS to house the School of Communication\u00a0today and floors 5-10 in Building 10 will be refurbished and constructed to accommodate the centre. Construction should begin a year from now. In the future, New Centre will feature state of the art technology for integrated media including journalism, public relation, advertising, digital media, and audio video production and post production. At the aspect of the cost, it will cost approximately 70 million AUD\u00a0in this process.<\/p>\n

For\u00a0the current progress regarding the cost, \u201cAlumni and donors have already contributed 14.95 million. Federal grants account for 9.5 million. 30 million is available through the university\u2019s capital fund reserve for new building projects.
