Complete the following for each myth:<\/p>\n<p> Relate the most important details of each myth.<\/p>\n<p> Describe the important concepts of the section you are summarizing.<\/p>\n<p> Be sure to use direct quotations and paraphrases to construct a faithful summary of the myth.<\/p>\n<p> PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR SUMMARY SECTION OF THE 11 CHOSEN MYTHS FROM CHAPTERS 4 AND 5 SHOULD ADD UP TO AT LEAST 400 WORDS.<\/p>\n<p> Step Two&#8211;Responding (So What?)<\/p>\n<p> Following the summary, write your reaction to what you have just read (so what?).\u00a0 At this point, you want to explore your reaction to the text and connect the new information to your existing web of knowledge.<\/p>\n<p> PLEASE NOTE THAT A REACTION RESPONSE SHOULD BE AT LEAST 250 WORDS.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Step Three&#8211;Analyzing<\/p>\n<p> To complete this section of the journal, you must answer two prompts (of your choice) from each section.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> Respond\u00a0in detail\u00a0to the following prompts:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> For Chapter 4:<\/p>\n<p> Discuss similarities and differences between and among these myths.<\/p>\n<p> Many of the myths detailed in Chapter 4, \u201cThe Earliest Times,\u201d discuss a \u201cfall of man\u201d or \u201cfall from grace,\u201d which could otherwise be expressed as a decline from more perfect times closer to creation to less perfect times further from creation.\u00a0 What could be an explanation for this \u201ccorruption\u201d of the human experience or \u201ccorruption\u201d of mankind?<\/p>\n<p> For Chapter 5:<\/p>\n<p> Discuss similarities and differences between and among these flood myths.<\/p>\n<p> Do you detect a common pattern in the chronology of the flood myths?\u00a0 That is, is there a pattern to what happens first, second, third, etc. in these stories?
