How will you know that you are successful?<\/p>\n<p> What are your plans for professional development?<\/p>\n<p> Assessment 4: Reflective Essay on Teaching Philosophy (1200 words +-10%)<\/p>\n<p> Assessment Purpose: This assessment requires students to critically reflect on their teaching philosophy and their development as a teacher as result of taking this course. The reflection needs to be supported by the theory covered in the course and reliable and current academic research<\/p>\n<p> This assessment relates to learning outcome a, b &amp; c.<\/p>\n<p> Task Details: Reflect on how your own teaching philosophy has changed since you started this course. Please refer to relevant research as well as your practical experience as a teacher and\/or TESOL student.<\/p>\n<p> Research requirements: Students need to support their analysis with support from a minimum of 6 suitable, reliable, current and academically acceptable sources as indicated by the lecturer\/tutor.<\/p>\n<p> Presentation: 1200 + Word docx, including a cover page, appropriate headings and sub-headings, in-text referencing and reference list (Harvard Anglia style), 1.5 spaced, font Times New Roman 12pt,\u00a0Calibri 11pt or Arial 10pt.<\/p>\n<p> Tips:<\/p>\n<p> Write in the first person about your personal views, thought and feelings about learning and teaching.<\/p>\n<p> Look back to your Teaching Philosophy Reflections you wrote at the beginning of the course and think about what\u2019s changed.<\/p>\n<p> Link your personal beliefs about learning and teaching to the theoretical content covered in the course (teaching approaches and methods) and think about how you will apply it to your teaching in the future.<\/p>\n<p> Consider the following questions when writing your teaching philosophy: How do people learn? How do I facilitate learning? What teaching methods will I use to facilitate the students\u2019 learning and why? How will I know I am successful as a teacher?
