Below is some extra information and some slight modifications regarding the Advertising Essay Handout. It is very important! Please read.<\/p>\n
1. The Advertising Essay must be a minimum of five full pages If it is fewer than five full pages it will\u00a0automatically receive a grade of D.<\/p>\n
2. The handout states not to use outside sources. However, I am making it a requirement for you to add TWO peer reviewed, scholarly journal source to your paper.\u00a0 The sources will be used to back up a couple of your ideas in the paper about advertising. You will need to find the\u00a0scholarly journals\u00a0using an ISU database. You will need to add a works cited page in MLA format to your paper and also cite the sources within\u00a0the paper. Failure to properly cite the sources will\u00a0result in a grade of zero for the paper and I will have to report it to the Dean\u2019s office as plagiarism. In class, we will go over what type of sources to use and how to cite them. There will also be handouts added to BB. NO WEB SOURCES ALLOWED.<\/p>\n
3. The handout states that you may use 2-3 ads for the paper. You may use one, two, or three ads. If you can write the entire paper over one ad, or two, that is fine! Whatever you choose to do you must discuss each ad VERY thoroughly, as that is the key to success with this essay. <\/p>\n
4. The essay should have a creative title, same as our previous essays.<\/p>\n
5. You should find your ads on the web, NOT from the databases. You must add your ads to your\u00a0essay for both peer editing\u00a0and to the final draft you turn in to me.<\/p>\n
6. You must also add your works cited page to both the rough and final draft.<\/p>\n
