Your written project should be written in APA format, however, if you would rather write it in more of a “memo” form (i.e. agency letterhead, etc.), that would be acceptable also. It should be typed, double-spaced, and using Times-New Roman 12-point font. It is also recommended that your project be at least 5-7 pages in length, not including a cover page or references (which are also strongly suggested to be included in your proposal).

When you have addressed each of the rubric requirements, submit the proposal to your instructor for feedback. What is the “design” of your program going to look like? What is/are your justification(s) for your program? Why is it needed? Who will be benefitting from the mentoring program? What “costs” (if any) will there be and how will that be addressed?

2. How are you planning on attracting participants to your program? Will it be voluntary? Mandated? Will there be any “incentives” for participants? If so, what? If not, why?

3. What is the strategy for connecting mentors and mentees together? How will any issues (i.e. personality, etc.) be mitigated?

4. What is the process for guiding mentor relations? How will your program be monitored? And by whom?

5. How are you going to measure if your program is or has been a success?

These are just five of the central components that you will want to address in your proposal.

Also, at some point, you will also be requested to upload the proposal to your e-portfolio.
