Consider these prompts to generate ideas for the outline and letter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Graduation is 7 days away<\/li><li>Detail what you have accomplished, learned, and experienced during your time in the program<\/li><li>Provide advice to your current-day self about things to consider along your&nbsp; journey; consider how you hope things will go<\/li><li>Point to struggles and challenges you have encountered along the way; provide recommendations on how to manage the struggles and challenges you have encountered<\/li><li>Define where you want to be professionally upon graduation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Using Microsoft Word Outline Mode, create an outline for the letter you will write. It is located in the &#8220;View&#8221; tab &#8211; left side. The Outline Mode is a tool for writing papers that easily transfers to final work in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint. Writing an outline is a critical tool for becoming a more organized writer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Submit the outline by uploading it to this assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Using your outline as a guide, complete you letter to your future self.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The letter has a 500-maximum word count<\/li><li>Include an introduction and a conclusion<\/li><li>Read the letter out loud to yourself, editing for grammar and flow issues<\/li><li>Include transition sentences that take the audience from one thought to the next in a well-connected manner<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Before completing your letter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Edit your work for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and readability (flow)<\/li><li>Read it out loud to someone else; incorporate their recommendations to edit your final letter<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Print out the final version of your &#8220;Letter to Myself&#8221; and bring it to Penn State for the August On-Boarding Intensive.
