A comprehensive discussion of the&nbsp;five&nbsp;categories within the Managerial Practices Table will provide reasoning for final\u202fplacement on the growth chart. The outcome will show the organization in a specific growth phase (evolution) or crisis phase (revolution). \u202fA final discussion will identify counterproductive practices that serve as a barrier for future growth.&nbsp;A series of scaffolding activities will be used over the next few lessons to build towards the final deliverable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Read:&nbsp;Greiner,\u202fLarry HBR.\u202f<em>Evolution and Revolution as Organizations Grow&nbsp;<\/em><\/li><li>SELECT\u202fone company from the list below, or a company of your choice.&nbsp;If you choose to\u202fcomplete this assignment individually, you may use your employer as\u202fthe basis for assessment. If you complete this assignment with one of your peers, neither of your employers\u202fcan be used.&nbsp;<ul><li>Graphiq, Wegmans, Walt Disney, Baird,&nbsp;Chik&nbsp;Fil A, Workday,&nbsp;SoFi,&nbsp;Genetech, US Navy, Nike.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Research the\u202fcompany using Greiner&#8217;s model as a framework for\u202fassessment.&nbsp;Include two visuals&nbsp;with this paper, 1) a completed Managerial Practices Table, 2)\u202fThe 6 Phases of Growth (showing placement).\u202fAs you write your content, be sure to keep in mind\u202ffactors discussed in Lessons 4-5 that are associated with effective writing.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Paper Outline&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introduction&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Provide a brief description of the organization (1 paragraph) as well as&nbsp;Greiner&#8217;s Six Phases of Growth\u202f(include in text citation).\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Managerial Practices&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Discuss<\/strong>\u202fhow age&nbsp;and&nbsp;size of the organization, as well as industry-related factors, impact&nbsp;the pace and direction\u202fof\u202forganizational growth (crisis).\u202fBased on your research<strong>, u<\/strong><strong>se<\/strong>&nbsp;the Managerial Practices Table\u202fas a worksheet to show\u202fthe practices\/policies (within each&nbsp;of the five&nbsp;categories) that are\u202fevident\u202fwithin the organization.\u202fTo focus&nbsp;your&nbsp;discussion, use\u202fthe five categories as\u202fsubtitles within your paper.&nbsp;Provide examples\/reasoning in your discussion that support(s) the outcome of your worksheet. Provide narrative\u202fon each category: Management Focus, Organizational Structure, Top Management Style, Control System, and Management Reward Emphasis.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The completed Managerial Practices Table and a ONE category narrative (2-3\u202fparagraphs) will be&nbsp;submitted for&nbsp;Scaffolding Activity #1.&nbsp;Feedback will be provided and then the other four category narratives will be completed for&nbsp;inclusion in&nbsp;the Module&nbsp;2&nbsp;Deliverable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Growth Chart Placement&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Identify&nbsp;where the organization&nbsp;lies&nbsp;on the Six Phases of Growth chart. Show placement of the company on the visual. Discuss how the outcome of the Managerial Practices worksheet led&nbsp;to&nbsp;your&nbsp;choice of&nbsp;placement&nbsp;on the chart:&nbsp;growth&nbsp;(evolution) or crisis (revolution). Provide proof\/reasoning.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The completed Six Phases of Growth chart, showing placement of the organization,\u202fwill be&nbsp;part of&nbsp;Scaffolding Activity #2.&nbsp;Include discussion how the outcome of the Managerial Practices worksheet led&nbsp;to&nbsp;your&nbsp;choice of&nbsp;placement&nbsp;on the chart. Feedback will be provided and&nbsp;then this will be integrated into&nbsp;the Module 2 Deliverable.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Counterproductive Practices&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Discuss<\/strong>&nbsp;existing\u202fcounterproductive practices&nbsp;that may prevent the organization from moving forward on the growth model.&nbsp;Include characteristics\u202fof the upcoming growth phase&nbsp;and the current\u202fpractices that work against upcoming growth.&nbsp;Grenier&#8217;s&nbsp;model\u202foffers insight into the importance of understanding the dynamic changes that exist in organizations in order for change to be supported.
