Please make sure to complete the Peer Evaluation for your team (including yourself!). You can access it through the WD Peer Evaluation<\/strong> link in the course menu. The Peer Evaluation will be used to determine the Team Participation portion of your grade for the course (10% of your final grade).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following criteria\/descriptions will be used: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Evaluate each member of your team, including you<\/strong><\/em>, on the 4 dimensions using the following descriptions.  For each person on your team, and for each dimension, specify a number from 1 to 5 that corresponds to your best assessment of how well that person performed on that dimension. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

COOPERATION<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Makes no attempt to work with others.  May totally dominate work or be otherwise destructive to positive group relations.  Not open to ideas other than his\/her own.<\/li>
  2. Some attempt to work with others, but still has strong tendency to want to do things his\/her way. Conversely, may not make much effort to get involved.  Not particularly conducive to team spirit.<\/li>
  3. Generally works well with others, but still has some tendency to dominate project or to stand on the sidelines.<\/li>
  4. Maintains positive relationship with group members.  Helps to facilitate team spirit.<\/li>
  5. Maintains positive relationship with group members.  Encourages equal involvement by others by bringing less dominant members into the process and discouraging others from dominating.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    DEPENDABILITY & COMMITMENT<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Cannot be relied on for deadlines.  Does not regularly attend meetings.  Does not regularly communicate with team.<\/li>
    2. Often does not meet deadlines.  Is not prepared for meetings.  Misses meetings without prior notice.<\/li>
    3. Generally dependable, but may occasionally miss deadlines, miss meetings or come to meetings unprepared.  Informs group if he\/she is going to be late or unable to attend a meeting.<\/li>
    4. Meets deadlines.  Attends meetings and is prepared.<\/li>
    5. Exceptional commitment to team.  Can always be relied on in crises to undertake additional responsibility.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      PARTICIPATION<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Makes no effort to contribute ideas at meetings or to offer constructive criticism of others= ideas.<\/li>
      2. Participation limited to criticism of others= ideas with few original contributions.<\/li>
      3. Regularly participates in meetings by offering own ideas and commenting on those of others.  Ideas, however, are not especially creative or insightful.<\/li>
      4. Regularly contributes creative and insightful ideas in meetings and constructively comments on others= ideas.<\/li>
      5. Contribution to group is exceptionally creative and insightful.  Constantly helps others to more fully develop their own ideas.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        QUALITY OF WORK<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Very little work performed.\u00a0 Work has numerous grammatical and spelling errors.\u00a0 Work is not complete and indicates very little effort expended.<\/li>
        2. Some effort expended, but shortcuts are evident.\u00a0 May not produce acceptable quantity or quality of work.\u00a0 Little attempt made to portray deep understanding.<\/li>
        3. Work is complete, but not particularly insightful or interesting.\u00a0 Focuses too much on surface explanations.<\/li>
        4. Considerable effort expended.\u00a0 Work is complete, of acceptable quality and well thought out.<\/li>
        5. Exceptional effort expended.\u00a0 Work is complete, of high quality and exceptionally insightful.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
