Each discussion forum includes participation requirements within the syllabus. Student responses (initial and final posts) should be substantive and reflect student thoughts and critical thinking related to the discussion topic. Students should include questions to peers to deepen the discussion conversation. Student questions to peers to deepen the conversation should be substantive and reflective of the module content. Citing references to reading assignments and other professional resources to validate student understanding of the discussions are required. Listing references and citing references must be according to American Psychological Association (APA).<\/p>\n<p>Students must provide citations and references for the initial posting and the final posting.\u00a0<strong><em>Please use APA for references and citations<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0Students must always<em><strong> apply assigned readings plus other professional readings<\/strong><\/em>. Students will also have <em><strong>citations in the text<\/strong><\/em> of their responses\u00a0 as well as<em><strong> references at the end of their responses<\/strong><\/em>. Citations and references are required for initial and final posts. References for other professional readings need to be <em><strong>current, within the last three to five years.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Students must post a minimum of <strong><em>twice<\/em> <\/strong>(an <em><strong>initial<\/strong><\/em> posting and<em><strong> at least one additional<\/strong><\/em> posting) per Discussion Board.\u00a0 The initial post is one post that includes responses to every weekly discussion board question listed. Questions to peers to deepen the discussion may be included in the initial post.<br \/>\n1. <strong><em>For module one (week one) only<\/em><\/strong>: Initial (<em><strong>student\u2019s original post-not copied or based on another student\u2019s post<\/strong><\/em>)\u00a0 and final posts are due by 11:59 pm <strong>Eastern Time<\/strong> Sunday.<br \/>\n2. Respond to at least one other classmate&#8217;s post by 11:59 pm <strong>Eastern time<\/strong> Sunday. The response to classmate post may be included in the final post.<\/p>\n<p>American Psychological Association (APA) is required for writing, citing, and referencing. Please post a response specific to each of the questions listed. Students must address each component of each question. Please respond by addressing each question\/item individually. Theories seem to be such esoteric notions for a profession of nursing that seemed to function well for decades, without highlighting theories. Can nursing practice history guide nursing practice future with theories? Why\/not?<\/p>\n<p>2. Define both rationalism and empiricism.
