Each discussion forum includes participation requirements within the syllabus. Student responses should be substantive and reflect student thoughts and critical thinking related to the discussion topic. Citing references to reading assignments and other professional resources to validate student understanding of the discussions are required. Listing references and citing references must be according to American Psychological Association (APA).<\/p>\n<p>Students must provide citations and references for the initial posting and the final posting. Please <em><strong>use APA for reference citations<\/strong><\/em>. Students must always apply<em><strong> assigned readings<\/strong><\/em> plus <em><strong>other professional readings<\/strong><\/em>. Students will also have <em><strong>citations in the text<\/strong> <\/em>of their responses as well as<em><strong> references at the end of their responses<\/strong><\/em>. References for other readings need to be <em><strong>current, within the last three to five years.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>1. Make initial (<strong><em>student\u2019s original post-not copied or based on another student\u2019s post<\/em><\/strong>) post by 11:59 pm Eastern Time Thursday. The initial post is one post that includes responses to every weekly discussion board question listed. Questions to peers to deepen the discussion may be included in the initial post.<br \/>\n2. Respond to at least one other classmate&#8217;s post by 11:59 pm\u00a0 Eastern Time Sunday. The response to classmate post\u00a0may be included in the final post.<\/p>\n<p>American Psychological Association (APA) is required for writing, citing, and referencing. Please post a response specific to each of the questions listed. Students must address each component of each question. Please respond by addressing each question\/item individually. Discuss one example of issues\/problems for <em><strong>each<\/strong> <strong>area<\/strong><\/em> (nursing practice, nursing education, nursing leadership) that could be answered using a qualitative research design. Provide rationale.<br \/>\nA. Nursing Practice<br \/>\nB. Nursing Education<br \/>\nC. Nursing Leadership<\/p>\n<p>2. What topics are better suited for phenomenological or grounded theory or ethnography? Provide rationale and examples.<\/p>\n<p>3. Provide one topic that could be researched using each of the following qualitative research designs: phenomenological, grounded theory, and ethnography. Discuss how <strong><em>that one topic could be researched using each of the three stated qualitative research designs<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4. Explain the various strategies used to promote qualitative research validity, trustworthiness, and rigor as found in Chapter 25 of required textbook (Polit &amp; Beck, 2017).<\/p>\n<p>5.
