Reliability is the determination of a concept’s consistency. In research, reliability refers mainly to stability, internal reliability, and inter-observer consistency (Bell et al., 2019). Stability evaluates measures to determine whether they change over time to avoid fluctuating results. By repeating the tests with different participants, the outputs remain the same. Internal reliability determines the relationships between indicators to facilitate consistency (Bell et al., 2019). Inter-observer consistency evaluates categories formed through observation or data analysis where there were many researchers. Validity determines whether an issue is designed to evaluate the concept comprehensively. The validity in research exists in predictive, construct, convergent, concurrent, and face (Bell et al., 2019). Face validity examines the information regarding the concept being addressed by the investigator. It determines the attention of the people concerning the concept. Experienced and competent individuals share their thoughts on the importance of studying a particular issue. Concurrent validity measures criteria that have a close relationship to the known concept. Predictive validity determines the criterion’s future aspect that might change expected results from the study; it does not evaluate contemporary issues as it intends to speculate about future results (Bell et al., 2019). The researcher should formulate hypothetical statements about the concept closely related to theory in construct validity. For example, considering a hypothetical statement that less-satisfied people are more likely to perform routine jobs, the researcher will establish a relationship between routine and satisfaction levels of employment opportunities. Convergent validity ensures the evaluation of a concept using different methods such as questionnaires and observation (Bell et al., 2019). Therefore, reliability and validity provide accurate results from the study.

Three Quantitative Research Questions

How many people in the banking sector in Saudi Arabia gained domain knowledge in information systems?

How many businesses from the banking and finance sector in Saudi Arabia have benefited from embracing new information systems?

How many banks in Saudi Arabia have embraced using information systems to improve efficiency?

References

Bell, E., Bryman, A., & Harley, B.
