What are Journal Article Summaries??<\/p>\n
Students are expected to read the posted peer-reviewed journal article and write a summary of the article. <\/p>\n
What is a summary? <\/p>\n
Introduces the reading and author<\/p>\n
Summarizes the author(s)\u2019 main point or thesis<\/p>\n
Covers the reading\u2019s major content\/ideas<\/p>\n
Discusses examples\/evidence<\/p>\n
Uses quotes sparingly<\/p>\n
Concludes with the importance\/value of the reading<\/p>\n

What are the paper guidelines?<\/p>\n
Summaries must be 2-3 pages, not including a reference page. This means that the reference page is not counted as one of the 2-3 pages.<\/p>\n
Papers should be double-spaced, 1-inch margins, New Times Roman, 12pt Font<\/p>\n
Must have correct spelling and grammar!<\/p>\n
Use correct citations and referencing style, such as APA or MLA<\/p>\n
Where do I submit writing assignment?<\/p>\n
Journal Article assignments must be submitted using the Turnitin submission link provided<\/p>\n
Which peer-reviewed article do I summarize?<\/p>\n
A link is provided to the specific journal article in our Canvas Module assignment. <\/p>\n

Each summary is worth 20 points and I will look for student papers to follow the guidelines described above.<\/p>\n
