My major is Bachelor of Science in IST with the Integration and Application option. I anticipate graduating in May 2023. My career goals are to learn new IT skill since information technology is changing all the time. I aim to be a CTO of an organization one day. I choose this internship because it\u2019s a requirement for my Bachelor of Science Degree prior to graduation and I will be using my current full-time position as an IT Project manager with the DoD to fulfill this Internship requirement.<\/p>\n
I currently enjoy my experience and the overall culture within my organization working as a government IT Project manager supporting the Department of Defense. My initial impression of my current team was that every team member was very supportive and willing to share ideas within our respective roles. I currently work under the OCIO supporting the Architecture and Engineering Division. Our A&E team is very small, but we all interact and work very well together. To conclude, one goal I have set for myself this semester in my full-time position is to improve on my interviewing skills.<\/p>\n
My current full-time role is below.<\/p>\n
Works closely with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) technical and non-technical personnel to plan for and coordinate the fielding of new Hardware and Software systems in support of Enterprise Architecture and Engineering services that support the mission of DCSA.<\/p>\n
Acts as the bridge between initial concept to actualization and fielding, connecting appropriate stakeholders across DCSA to ensure a successful transition of Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) innovations and advanced technologies into the enterprise’s production environment.<\/p>\n
Works at a senior level to define, integrate, and implement strategic direction for integration and transition efforts with long-term impact on large numbers of programs, projects, and initiatives.<\/p>\n
Captures, documents, translates, and defends the Architecture and Engineering Division’s innovation and advanced technology transition needs into integrated plans and strategies for implementation and execution.<\/p>\n
Briefs, influences, and educates executive-level DCSA, OCIO and Program Executive Office personnel as to the significance, applicability, and importance of proactive and coordinated DCSA innovation and advanced technology integration and transition activities.<\/p>\n
Responsible for supporting the mission of A&E by applying ITSM principles to improve the overall delivery of services DCSA employees. The employer must possess skills in the development, facilitation, and implementation of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes consistent with the Information Technology Infrastructure OCIO best practice framework. The employee must facilitate and engage in service delivery, performance management, continuous improvement and quality improvement activities through the coordination of and attendance at regular meetings with Service and Process Owners and Process Managers to ensure the proper development and integration of ITSM processes and to ensure that the Service Catalog and Service Portfolio are updated on a regular basis, confirming the accuracy of the content with both the business and technical service owners.<\/p>\n
The employee in this collaborative manner, analyze, develop, plan and coordinate strategies necessary to resolve service and process service delivery problems. <\/p>\n
The incumbent will apply project management methodologies and techniques to manage ITSM-related projects. The employee will maintain high levels of communication with service users to improve customer satisfaction and improve or redesign services. <\/p>\n
The employee will monitor the service level agreements of each service offered to customers by OCIO for compliance to established standards. The employee will use ITSM processes and procedures to propose corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction scores.<\/p>\n
The employee must possess and use soft skills, including the diplomacy and tact necessary to work effectively within a large IT department and multiple OCIO business units. <\/p>\n
He\/she must be able to work effectively on multiple projects\/systems\/issues concurrently as a project team member, sometimes as a project lead to deliver IT service management solutions and support DCSA. <\/p>\n
He or she must be able to drive the continual improvement of ITSM processes by analyzing process and service performance data and measures, comparing process performance against performance targets, reporting process performance information, and recommending changes to processes, performance measures and\/or targets to maximize service and process performance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
