Why can it be argued that people with disabilities constitute a social category that experiences health inequalities? What about the argument that such inequalities follow inevitably from the impairments (biomedical conditions) with which people with disabilities live?<\/p>\n
Please discuss the role of the UN Convention on the rights of people with disabilities for promoting and protecting the right of disabled people to health. Which responsibilities do States-Parties (i.e. signatories to the convention) bear?<\/p>\n
What are the main challenges to assessing the position of people with disabilities in terms of health and access to health care? Globally, and in Iceland in particular. Do not forget to provide justification your answers.<\/p>\n
