{"id":93673,"date":"2022-03-26T16:46:37","date_gmt":"2022-03-26T16:46:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/papersspot.com\/blog\/?p=93673"},"modified":"2022-03-26T16:46:37","modified_gmt":"2022-03-26T16:46:37","slug":"case-presentation-components","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/papersspot.com\/blog\/2022\/03\/26\/case-presentation-components\/","title":{"rendered":"Case Presentation Components"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Your write up should include all of the following components:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A brief description of your school community, including relevant school programming and availability of mental health service providers<\/li>\n<li>Background information which is necessary to understanding the clinical issue\/case, including:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 presenting concern(s)<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 client context (family, social, economic, cultural, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 relevant history (school history and treatment history)<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 school policies or other relevant organizational issues that affect the client<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best practice recommendations for interventions with the issue\/case, including a brief statement\/rationale of your choice in theoretical framework to understand the presenting concern\/issue<\/li>\n<li>Intersection of client needs with the systemic issues in the school<\/li>\n<li>Ethical issues raised by this case\/client<\/li>\n<li>One specific question and\/or concerns you are posing to the group, which will be used to guide discussion<\/li>\n<li>The suggested journal article or book chapter you are asking peers to read<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Your write up should be distributed to the class members prior to the class session in which you will be presenting, including a link to the journal article or book chapter.<\/p>\n<p>After your case presentation, as soon as you can, turn in a written reflection of your experience of the presentation (approximately 2 pages).\u00a0 The components of the written reflection are:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reflect on your written materials and initial presentation. What contributed to your colleagues\u2019 understanding of the case\/clinical issue? What do you think was unclear? What will you do differently in preparing future presentations?<\/li>\n<li>What did you think went well in how you led the seminar discussion? What did you learn about how to better lead discussions in the future?<\/li>\n<li>What did you think were the most useful theoretical, practical, empirical, or ethical issues raised by the group?<\/li>\n<li>How well did you get your question about this case\/clinical issue answered?
