Read\u00a0Turn User Goals into Task Scenarios for Usability Testing (https:\/\/www.nngroup.com\/articles\/task-scenarios-usability-testing\/)<\/p>\n<p> \u00a0and\u00a0Things a Therapist Would Say\u00a0(after clicking the link http:\/\/sensible.com\/download-files\/ , choose either the Word or PDF version of the text), which will provide examples of ways to develop tasks and prompts to include in your test plan to effectively support users during testing.<\/p>\n<p> Prompt<\/p>\n<p> After reading the articles, complete the following activities:<\/p>\n<p> For\u00a0each\u00a0of the situations given below, develop two user testing\u00a0prompts\u00a0that would be appropriate:<\/p>\n<p> The user is stuck after finishing one portion of a task and doesn\u2019t know what to do next.<\/p>\n<p> The user has clicked on the system-furnished help but doesn\u2019t seem to understand the message it has conveyed.<\/p>\n<p> The user is quiet and has not done anything with the software for several minutes.<\/p>\n<p> User testing is best when users are given tasks that are more personal to them. On a website selling shoes, a good task would be \u201cBuy a pair of Nike LeBron 7 Big Kids Shoes for your nephew,\u201d as opposed to \u201cBuy a pair of shoes.\u201d In other instances, rather than giving users specific tasks, you should ask them to do something more general. For example, instead of saying, \u201cGo to the heading on the initial page that says SALE, then select the category \u2018shoes,\u2019 then find a pair for under $40,\u201d you might say, \u201cYou are looking for a new pair of shoes on this store website but you don\u2019t want to spend very much money. How would you proceed?\u201d<\/p>\n<p> For each of the general tasks below, develop a more\u00a0personalized task\u00a0that could be used in a usability test.
