ESSAY QUESTION:<\/p>\n
Critically analyse some of the ways in which cultural productions of the 1890s evidence a concern with psychology and the workings of the mind.<\/p>\n
Strong essays will demonstrate:<\/p>\n
a clear line of argument.<\/p>\n
detailed analysis of the primary texts with quotations from them and explanations\/critical analysis from you. <\/p>\n
a developed sense of how the texts relate to key concerns of the period.<\/p>\n
telling engagement with secondary\/critical material (academic journals, etc\u2026)<\/p>\n
a firm structure and polished academic English.<\/p>\n
Format for the essay is MLA.<\/p>\n
The essay is due on Wednesday 11 May at 1pm and should be submitted through Turn-it-in.<\/p>\n
