I believe the most interesting thing that we did in this class has been the discussion board threads.\u00a0 It has been good to see other students takes on the topics posted. I was fascinated at child labor laws and the history of it in America as well as globally.\u00a0 According to an article published in the International Journal of Sociology and Social Policy there are still 41 counties globally that don’t protect children under 18 from performing hazardous tasks in the work environment.\u00a0 It is interesting to see how different countries operate on the spectrum.\u00a0 Is there a justification for allowing children to work?\u00a0 The video we watched in the past linked cheap labor to national wealth.\u00a0 But don’t we as humans have the obligation to protect children over a profit.\u00a0 It seems like me that profit and ethics don’t always see eye to eye.\u00a0 Especially in under developed countries.\u00a0 Prosperous countries have more room to be pious than poor countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
