There is a literature review on the safety of patient incidents and the nursing workload. In this article, the authors established factors that affected patient safety concerning the nurses\u2019 workload. This is important since, in many organizations, there is a high likelihood that patient safety incidences are likely to occur even though nurses are onsite. In the article, the authors concluded that rates of falls were associated with the workload. This is an essential indicator in improving patient safety. The report is critical as it will strengthen my recommendations on improving patient safety through proper nursing practices in healthcare facilities. <\/p>\n

The source explains the role nurses play in caring for their patients. The author states that the nurses ensure that the patient’s safety is always guaranteed. The article compares the length the physicians or the, pharmacists, and parents or family members take to interact with their patients to that of the nurses. All the responsibilities of ensuring the patient stay safe during the day are left to the nurses. Therefore, this article strongly indicates that nurses have a critical role in accomplishing the duties stipulated in the research topic. This is a very excellent article to use to prove my points strongly.<\/p>\n

This article is a literature review on how organizations can significantly impact patient safety through nursing empowerment, leadership, and collaboration. This is very important because patient care and safety is a multisectoral undertaking. This means that there is a need to have good cooperation, the empowerment of the nursing team, and impeccable leadership qualities in place. Despite the article not finding tangible evidence and proposing that further research be conducted, I find it valid to advance the items the literature review highlighted in improving patient safety through nursing in many organizations. <\/p>\n
